We Love Pets
Hi, my name’s Sonia, Welcome to Gifts for Pet Lovers.
We aim to provide you with a fun and easy shopping experience, whether you’re a fan of feathers, paws, or hooves , whether you own a pet, or you can’t but still love them anyway, even whether you’re a pet lover or not, (I can’t imagine such a thing, but perhaps you’re out there and just shopping for your pet loving friends).
The object of our affections is Jack, our 7 year old black Labrador who we adopted from friends at age 4. If he hadn’t been named already, we probably would have called him Houdini. We also seem to be developing a habit of fostering dogs for people moving overseas while they find somewhere to live.
It would be fair to say that in the great dichotomy that divides the pet world, I consider myself a ‘dog person’. I put this down to an anti-social ‘pet’ cat when I was a child, reinforced by a flat that was overrun with cats and fleas many years later. However, since becoming involved with the local SPCA I now have a greater appreciation for cats, and as long as they keep their claws to themselves they are now welcome to sit on my lap.
According to the photos, I once had a pet lamb. Although I was too young to remember that, we haven’t forgotten about those of you who love pets of the farm variety, or those who have feathered friends or go ga-ga for gills.
Because we love pets so much, (well all animals really), we are dedicated to donating at least 30% of profits to the SPCA and other animal charities. So when you purchase a gift from us, you’re actually giving two gifts – to your friends or family, and to the organisations that protect and care for those animals who aren’t lucky enough to be beloved family pets. We, and they thank you for your support.

We Love The Environment
We and our animals are all affected by the environment we live in, so it makes sense to take good care of it. As well as buying environmentally friendly where we can, we also choose to minimise waste by recycling packaging. Like an ‘SPCA Special’ that arrives at the Haven with mange, your package might look a bit ugly on the outside, but it will still be gorgeous on the inside. (Don’t worry, this does not extend to our gift wrapping option, where we use gorgeous, quality wrapping & ribbon). We also understand that there may be some gift giving occasions where you would prefer your order to arrive in fresh, clean packaging, so just drop us an email with your order reference as soon as you’ve completed the order, and we will happily oblige.
